Here we go 'round the BLUEBERRY bush....

Early this morning, my husband and I drove out to my sisters house (Ties that Bind Ranch) and picked fresh blueberries..Momma,two of my sisters,my daughter and my niece all gathered around the blueberry bushes and chatted and nibbled (I personally had quite a few of the sweet ones almost to the point of a tummy ache.) Fresh blueberries..momma mentioned fried blueberry pies..yum..My sister makes jams and jellies and last year sold them at the local Red River Market..she even adjusted the recipe to accomodate those of us that wanted the sugar free version..yummmmmmm..
Before we left, we snapped a few posed pictures..
We did this same thing last year on Rob's Day..June 24..All 4 of us girls plus..nieces,nephews..JoyKay, we missed you sister!! love love making memories..
Happy Fathers Day Ken..you are my favorite person in the world!!!!!

Hello Debbie:
Just surfing through blogs...becoming an evenin' past time...your friend said your were in LA....so of course i had to visit a spell in your blog. I was born and raised in Shreveport LA. Your home is lovely and sure stirs up my heart. I have brothers there still, but i've been here in CA. sence '65. Miss the lush green of the trees and grass. The smell of rain comin' and the best of all is the Thunder...oh that's music to me...how i miss that. The fresh golden color of the sky after a big storm...
Enjoyed your blog, i'll be back to visit you again...

Hi Deb: thanks for stopping by my blog; I've added you to my favorites. Also, when you come to Canton in Sept., let me know and maybe we can meet. I'll show where some of my cool places are to shop. And, if it's around the Round Top/Warrenton Antique Show (about 4 1/2 hrs. from Canton) you must come and shop w/ us. I'll be there. Round Top is where the Country Show was that you asked about. Thanks again, Theresa

YUM! My kids would love to pick blueberries... I'm forever buying baskets from the market... not the same as off the bush!
